Harding's dog Laddie Boy outside at the White House with tears falling and the text "I NEVER / DREAMED / IT WOULD / BE SO / LONELY / WHEN HE'S / AWAY!" In the lower right the artist signed the cartoon "C.K. Berryman / EVENING / STAR / MAY 23, 1921."
